Here's a useful utility for anyone who sometimes needs to copy web page text into a text document, or convert entire web pages into text documents.  If you've ever attempted these maneuvers, you know the annoyance of finding that html text usually copies over into a text document as one or more big long lines, filled with html tags, symbols, and other unneeded bother.  Then you have to spend time cleaning it up, removing unnecessary information, adding line breaks, etc., in order to get it to look right and to get it to fit correctly on a regular text page. 

   This little utility does this for you.  It places an icon on your desktop onto which you simply drop an html file from your browser to have it automatically converted into an ordinary text document.  In so doing, it removes html tags, adjusting line feeds and reformatting text, then places it into a new file of the same name but with a ".txt" file extension.

   Or, you can use the utility to reformat html text that you've copied into the Clipboard.  Simply double-click the icon to have the Clipboard text converted and cleaned up right there in place, making it immediately ready to paste out again to wherever you choose as ordinary text.
